Installs electrical wiring, electrical components and systems on new fire trucks and police vehicles during manufacturing. Components are mostly DC, but A/C knowledge and experience will be needed. Also applies automotive electrical knowledge and experience for input into design of electrical systems. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety First: Ensure all electrical work meets the highest standards of safety and compliance with NFPA and OEM standards.
Innovate and Create: Layout and install advanced electrical systems for custom fire apparatus, including wiring, lighting, and control systems.
Hands-On Excellence Install, test and troubleshoot electrical components and systems in custom built fire apparatus.
Documentation: Create detailed electrical schematics for each custom apparatus.
Team Collaboration Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other team members to seamlessly integrate electrical systems.
Stay Ahead: Keep up with the latest advancements in electrical technology and fire apparatus standards.
REQUIREMENTS:
Salary: Starting rate of$25-38/hour depending on experience and qualifications.
