Based at our busy workshop in Craigieburn you will be part of a small team assisting with general servicing and maintenance repairs Yutong buses coaches. Due to our continued growth, we are looking a skilled and experienced Automotive Electrician to join our team. Reporting to the Workshop Manager and as our Automotive Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of vehicle electronics and electrical components.

The Automotive Electrician will be responsible for diagnosing electrical issues, repairing faulty wiring or components, installing new electrical systems, and conducting regular maintenance on vehicle electronics. This role requires a trade qualification as an Auto Electrician or equivalent experience in the automotive industry.

Skills Required:

• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex electrical problems
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
• Experience with installing aftermarket electronic accessories
• Familiarity with using diagnostic equipment/software
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with customers and team members

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic equipment/software
• Repair or replace faulty wiring harnesses, connectors, switches, relays, etc.
• Install new electrical components such as audio systems, lighting accessories or security systems.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on vehicle electronics.
• Test repaired/replaced components to ensure proper functioning.
• Provide accurate time estimates for completion of tasks.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in automotive technology/electrical systems.

Qualifications:

• Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician or equivalent experience is essential.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Auto Electrician in the automotive industry.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical regulations and safety standards.
• Additional certifications or training in automotive electronics will be advantageous.

Note: This is a full-time position based in Craigieburn. Working hours are full-time, Monday to Friday with occasional overtime as needed.

We offer competitive annual salary range of $76,515.00 and $80,000. Salary will be discussed at interview
