Our experience brings with it premium wharf cartage and container transport services, with a focus on providing customers with complete logistics solutions including warehousing, container pack/unpack, distribution, over-dimensional, heavy haulage, project logistics and Australia wide bulk haulage.

The Automotive Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical systems of our fleet of trucks and heavy equipment. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Electrician to join our team. You will utilise your expertise to ensure the reliable operation of our fleet's electrical systems while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

What you will be doing…

• Utilising diagnostic tools and equipment to identify electrical issues in trucks and heavy machinery.
• Performing repairs and routine maintenance on electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, alternators, lights, and ignition systems.
• Diagnosing and repairing air conditioning systems, including inspecting components, replacing faulty parts, recharging refrigerant, and performing routine maintenance.
• Installing and configuring electrical components and systems, such as lighting and alarms.
• Repairing and installing communication and entertainment systems, including radios, GPS systems, and telematics.
• Effectively troubleshooting electrical faults and malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
• Maintaining accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed, including parts used.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Working closely with staff across various departments to support overall fleet operations.
• Conducting regular maintenance checks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems.
• Staying current with industry trends and advancements in automotive electrical technology and participating in ongoing training as required.

Do you have…

• Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent.
• Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician, preferably with trucks and heavy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, diagnostic tools, and repair techniques.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment and automotive safety standards.
• Valid Driving Licence (Heavy Vehicle License preferred).
• Air Conditioning Licence.

Additional Information…

• Successful applicants will be required to complete a Fit to Work Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screening and Police Check.
• We will provide all relevant onsite training.
• Option to work additional hours and/ or weekends.
