Automotive Diagnostic Technician | $40-$50/HR | Hourly Pay

Location: Boulder, Colorado
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM-5:00 PM | Occasional Saturdays may be required
Pay Rate: $40-$50/hour | Pay Type: Hourly

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician to join an independent repair shop in Boulder, Colorado. Approximately 70% of this role focuses on diagnostics and advanced repair, making it an excellent opportunity for a technician who enjoys solving electrical, drivability, and complex mechanical concerns. Earn $40-$50/hour with hourly pay, paid training, professional diagnostic equipment, and consistent workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical, drivability, and mechanical concerns.
• Perform advanced diagnostics and complex automotive repairs.
• Repair steering, suspension, cooling, electrical, and other mechanical systems.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI) using Tekmetric.
• Perform maintenance and general repair services as needed.
• Diagnose and repair primarily Domestic and Asian vehicles.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional automotive technician experience.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience performing complex mechanical repairs.
• Experience with steering, suspension, cooling systems, and pressure testing.
• Own professional automotive tools.
• Independent repair shop experience preferred.
