What We Offer:

  • Competitive Pay: $53,848 – $75,593/year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.

  • This position is eligible to earn monthly incentive pay based upon store sales and overall performance.

  • Schedule: Full-time, 5 days/week - Sundays off every week, plus one other day off based on business needs.

Major Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

Supervision and Mentorship:

  • Supervises and mentors Repair Technicians, ensuring appropriate work assignments based on skill levels.

  • Assists in the hiring, evaluation, training, and development of Repair Technicians and Service Advisors.

  • Provides leadership by exercising firm, fair, and consistent management of all associates.

Quality Control and Repairs:

  • Verifies that all repairs and maintenance on vehicles are completed accurately and professionally, following manufacturer guidelines and industry practices. Re-test repaired systems and road test vehicles as needed.

Customer Communication and Service:

  • Manages communication between the Car Care Center and customers, ensuring timely updates and accuracy of repair permissions, agreements, and expectations.

  • Assists Service Advisors and Sales Associates in explaining repair recommendations to customers and obtaining approval for necessary repairs.

Operational Management:

  • Organizes work to maximize efficiency in vehicle movement, parts procurement, and overall job functions.

  • Responsible for store operations and sales in the absence of the Manager, including creating estimates and work orders and assisting at the sales counter.

  • Opens and closes the Car Care store, ensuring proper scheduling and management.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensures continuous implementation of Car Care policies and procedures, including compliance with OSHA, M.A.P., State, and Hazmat regulations.

  • Oversees a clean, well-organized work area and ensures proper maintenance of tools and equipment, including evaluating new equipment and following safety protocols.

Administrative Duties:

  • Accurately completes paperwork including repair information on work orders and state/emission inspection details.

  • Reviews repair orders with Service Advisors and customers to ensure all requested repairs are completed.

  • Monitors workflow and communicates with Service Advisors and Sales Associates regarding wait times and productivity.

Product and Service Awareness:

  • Maintains specific awareness of automotive products and general awareness of ACA’s offerings to enhance customer experiences and drive repeat business.

  • Attends automotive meetings and seminars as recommended by management.

Job Requirements/Qualifications (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications):

  • High school degree or equivalent required. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the automotive repair industry required.

  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification preferred.

  • Must possess and maintain a valid operator’s license.

  • Satisfactory pre-and post-employment screening results.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (Those necessary for competent performance of the job):

  • Effective organizational and analytical skills.

  • Effective written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively interaction with others.

  • Advanced knowledge of PC-based automotive computer equipment and software applications.

  • Demonstrated ability to respond to customer inquiries and refer customers to the associates who can best assist them with Car Care, Travel, Insurance, Membership, Discounts, Financial Services, and other Retail products.

  • Ability to adjust work schedule and priorities to meet business needs.

Working Conditions (Under typical circumstances):

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is exposed to an automotive shop environment. The noise level in the work environment may at times be loud. The job requires working with automotive tools and equipment, exposure to changes in temperature, and may involve exposure to dust or fumes.

The physical requirements of the job are for associates to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and to stand for prolonged periods of time. Must have complete dexterity and fine and gross motor skills.
