Automation Test Engineer

Location: Bangalore, Kochi, Trivandrum, Chennai
Experience: 15-18 years
Reporting to: Test Manager

About the Role

IBS Software is looking for experienced Automation Testing professionals who are passionate about building scalable, reliable, and high-quality test automation solutions. In this role, you will drive automation strategy, develop robust frameworks, and ensure flawless delivery across complex enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation test scripts using Selenium and TestNG
• Define and implement automation frameworks aligned with project goals.
• Identify and prioritize test cases suitable for automation.
• Execute automated test suites and analyse results to ensure product quality.
• Develop and maintain Web Services and API automation using SOAP UI or similar tools.
• Integrate automation test suites with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven, ANT)
• Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to improve test coverage and efficiency.
• Conduct feasibility studies and proof-of-concepts for new automation tools and approaches.
• Prepare and present automation execution reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Continuously maintain and enhance automation frameworks for scalability and reusability.

Required Skills

• 15 years of experience in Selenium Automation with Java
• Expertise in TestNG and Automation Framework design, maintenance, and optimization
• Strong hands-on experience in SOAP UI and API automation
• Good knowledge of Jenkins, Maven, or ANT for CI/CD integration.
• Understanding of DevOps workflows and continuous testing practices.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
• Experience in effort estimation and contributing to test planning.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
• Working knowledge of DevOps tools and cloud-based testing setups.
• Prior onshore experience or direct customer engagement
