Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, TestNG, and other modern automation tools.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts to validate functional, regression, integration, and UI testing requirements across modern and enterprise web applications.
  • Perform comprehensive manual testing, including functional, exploratory, regression, usability, and integration testing to ensure software quality.
  • Create detailed test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business and functional requirements while ensuring complete test coverage.
  • Validate UI workflows, APIs, business logic, database interactions, cross-browser compatibility, and application performance across supported environments.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and continuously optimize execution time, reporting, and quality metrics to accelerate release cycles.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify quality risks, and resolve defects throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Troubleshoot application issues by analyzing logs, test results, and database records, while ensuring timely validation of bug fixes and production defects.
  • Contribute to Agile development practices by participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging testing technologies, automation frameworks, and quality engineering best practices to improve testing efficiency, product quality, and customer experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) from an accredited university or college.
  • Strong experience in software testing with hands-on expertise in both automation and manual testing.
  • Experience developing automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, TestNG, or equivalent automation technologies.
  • Experience testing modern web applications built using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, AngularJS, BackboneJS, EmberJS, KnockoutJS, or similar front-end technologies.
  • Experience working with databases and persistence technologies such as JDBC, JPA, Hibernate, and Spring Data.
  • Experience with build and source control tools including Maven, Gradle, Git, and SVN.
  • Familiarity with rules engines such as Apache Camel, Drools, or JRules.
  • Experience validating RESTful web services, APIs, database queries, and backend integrations.
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices and automated quality gates.
  • Experience working in Agile, Lean, Scrum, or Extreme Programming (XP) environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down technical problems and estimate testing activities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of performance, security, and accessibility testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with test reporting and quality dashboards.
  • Understanding of software architecture and the impact of technology choices across the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
  • Ability to independently manage deliverables while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Strong customer focus with an understanding of business priorities and value delivery.
