We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript to join our dynamic team. You are passionate about building scalable automation frameworks, ensuring product quality, and collaborating across teams to deliver reliable solutions. You have hands-on experience in functional, regression, and integration testing, with a solid understanding of Agile practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based testing environments.
You will report to the Engineering Manager.
Your Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable automated test scripts using Cypress.
Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure the quality and stability of web applications.
Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution by working closely with development teams.
Continuously optimize and improve automation frameworks to enhance test coverage, performance, and maintainability.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the ongoing improvement of QA standards, tools, and best practices.
Ensure comprehensive test coverage and maintain accurate, up-to-date test plans and documentation.
Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA team members to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
The Essentials – You Will Have:
Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
4–6 years of professional experience as a QA Engineer, Automation Engineer, or in a similar role.
Strong hands-on experience with Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation.
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, Git-based version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
Experience with API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and cloud-based testing environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
The Preferred – You Might Also Have:
Experience with additional automation tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
Knowledge of performance testing and security testing concepts.
Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments.
Experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo.
Knowledge of code and security analysis tools such as SonarQube and BlackDuck.
