Automation Technician – Electrical & Controls

Location: Smyrna, TN

Full-Time | On-Site | Manufacturing

A growing manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced Automation Technician to support production equipment and plant systems. This role focused on troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair plant electrical and electronic systems
• Troubleshoot PLCs, controls, sensors, and automated equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
• Read electrical schematics and equipment drawings
• Document maintenance activities through a CMMS
• Follow all safety and LOTO procedures

Requirements

• 3+ years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs and automated equipment
• Ability to read electrical schematics
