You‘ll make an impact by:

  • Design, engineering, implementation, testing, and commissioning of Automation Control Systems.
  • Service, troubleshooting, and maintenance of systems including:
    • PCS7 / DCS Systems
    • ESD Safety Systems
    • F&G Safety Systems
    • Step7, WinCC, Totally Integrated Automation
    • SIMATIC S7 Safety Systems
    • S7-300, S7-400/400H/400FH, S7-1200, S7-1500 R/H

Your success is grounded in

  • Design, implement, and commission PCS 7 control systems and SIMATIC S7 Safety Systems for a variety of industrial control system applications
  • Develop PCS 7, TIA, WinCC, STEP 7, and PLC programs based on schematics and customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot control loops, motor wiring, and industrial instrumentation.
  • Industrial instrumentation selection, configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Design industrial network architectures with a focus on cybersecurity best practices
  • Configure, commission, and troubleshoot industrial network devices and communication protocols
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to industrial control system cybersecurity
  • Perform risk assessments, vulnerability testing, and implement security measures to protect control systems
  • Develop and document cybersecurity policies, procedures, and incident response plans
  • Train operations and maintenance personnel on cybersecurity awareness and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and management, to ensure holistic cybersecurity approach
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation, including IO lists, FDS/DDS, system architectures, wiring diagrams, control schematics, SCADA graphics, ESD C&E matrix, FAT/SAT procedures, and O&M manuals

Your Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Siemens DCS and SCADA design, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience in PCS 7 Safety Systems, STEP 7, WinCC, TIA, and Safety Systems
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a combined client/contractor team
  • Fair knowledge of industrial control system cybersecurity standards and best practices (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82)
  • Proficiency in network architecture design, industrial communication protocols, and network security technologies
  • Familiarity with industrial control system vulnerabilities, threat modeling, and risk assessment methodologies
  • Experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity policies, procedures, and incident response plans
  • Willingness to travel and work onshore and offshore as required
  • UAE valid driving license

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in developing secure PLC and SCADA programming practices
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of industrial control system forensics and incident response
  • Familiarity with industrial IoT and cloud-based control system architectures
  • Experience in water, wastewater, petrochemical, or oil and gas industries

· Certification in industrial control system cybersecurity (e.g., GICSP, CISA, CISSP) will be added value / good to have.
