Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and technically skilled Automation QA Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions that ensure software products meet high standards of quality, reliability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation, programming, and software testing, with the ability to collaborate closely with development and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts, frameworks, and test suites.
  • Analyze requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to identify automation opportunities.
  • Create and execute automated tests for functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Develop reusable and scalable automation frameworks and testing components.
  • Identify, reproduce, document, and track software defects.
  • Investigate automated test failures and determine whether issues are related to the application, test scripts, or testing environment.
  • Maintain and update automated tests as applications and requirements evolve.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and delivery.
  • Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar technologies.
  • Conduct cross-browser, cross-platform, and device testing when required.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Monitor automation results and communicate defects, risks, and testing progress.
  • Review test coverage and identify areas where automation can improve testing efficiency.
  • Maintain clear documentation for automation frameworks, test cases, processes, and results.
  • Research and recommend improvements to testing tools, frameworks, and automation strategies.
  • Support continuous improvement of QA processes and engineering practices.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of software testing and QA methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools.
  • Strong programming or scripting skills in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar.
  • Experience designing and maintaining scalable automated testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of API testing and RESTful services.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Experience with Git and version control systems.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL and database testing.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to software quality.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Automation QA Engineer, QA Automation Engineer, Test Automation Engineer, or similar role.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining automated test suites.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one major automation framework.
  • Experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Experience testing web applications, APIs, mobile applications, or other software products.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience using version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience identifying, documenting, and troubleshooting software defects.
  • Understanding of software development and release processes.
  • Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective automated testing strategies.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple testing activities and meet deadlines.
  • Reliable internet connection and a suitable setup for remote work.
  • Professional, proactive, dependable, and quality-focused attitude.
  • English proficiency is required if the position involves working with English-speaking teams or technical documentation.
