At OSTP Finland, we believe that the best industrial solutions are built together. We are now looking for an experienced Automation & OT Engineer to join our team and play a key role in ensuring that our production automation and Operational Technology (OT) environment remains reliable, secure and future-ready.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working close to people, processes and technology. You will not be working in isolation—you will collaborate daily with Production, Maintenance, Technology, IT, suppliers and project teams to ensure that automation systems, interfaces and manufacturing technologies work seamlessly together.
As our Automation & OT Engineer, you will act as the technical owner and system architect of OSTP Finland’s automation and OT environment. Your mission is to ensure that automation systems, integrations and technical standards support safe, efficient and reliable production throughout their lifecycle.
You will serve as a trusted partner for colleagues across the organization, helping teams solve challenges, improve system performance and implement practical solutions that create value for the business.
Act as system architect for OSTP Finland’s production automation and OT environment.
Own automation architecture, PLC standards, documentation and lifecycle planning.
Ensure availability, reliability, maintainability of automation and OT systems in close cooperation with Maintenance, Production, Technology and IT.
Lead technical standardization, system integration and development of manufacturing system interfaces, including MES, ERP and data collection solutions.
Act as automation and OT lead in investment and improvement projects.
Support the implementation of approved automation and digitalization initiatives within the factory environment.
You are a collaborative and technically strong professional who enjoys working across organizational boundaries and turning complex technical challenges into practical solutions.
We hope you have:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
Several years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in process industry or advanced manufacturing.
Experience in automation architecture, lifecycle management, commissioning and industrial projects.
Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Strong system-level thinking and the ability to balance production needs with long-term maintainability.
Experience in areas such as Siemens S7 / TIA Portal, industrial networks, IT/OT integration, robotics, SCADA, MES and manufacturing systems is considered an advantage.
At OSTP, you will become part of a team-oriented culture where expertise is shared and success is achieved together. We value collaboration, continuous improvement and mutual support. You will work with experienced colleagues from multiple disciplines and have the opportunity to influence the development of automation and OT solutions across the factory.
A meaningful expert role with visible impact on production performance and reliability.
Close collaboration with Production, Maintenance, Technology and IT teams.
Opportunities to participate in investment and development projects.
A workplace that values safety, quality, innovation and teamwork.
