We are looking for you,

Automation Lead Engineer

to join our automation engineering team.

Do you have a strong background in engineering and the drive to lead process and energy industry projects? Or are you a driven engineer ready to elevate your career and step into a leadership role? If so, an exciting opportunity awaits you!

As a Lead Engineer, you will have a key role in implementing automation design and engineering in demanding process industry projects. You'll leverage your expertise to guide and mentor the automation design team, collaborating closely with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders across various engineering disciplines throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial studies and basic engineering to detailed design, implementation, and commissioning.

The position will be located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo. We provide a free commuter bus service from Helsinki and nearby regions to Kilpilahti. Partial remote working or working at our remote working office in Espoo are also possible.

More about the job

Your role in our team

  • lead a design team in projects according to the agreed quality, scope, time and safety

  • be responsible for DCS and SIS control and hardware engineering and purchasing activities

  • supervise suppliers' and subcontractors' work

  • participate in the DCS and SIS testing (FAT, SAT), as well as other commissioning activities in projects

  • manage internal stakeholders, work-share partners and suppliers

  • collaborate and network with the client

  • participate improvement of our engineering procedures, instructions, and specifications

  • develop technical competence and leadership skills.

Keys to success in this role

  • experience in process automation engineering (10+ years)

  • knowledge of DCS and SIS automation systems and control engineering

  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in engineering or other applicable field

  • self-initiative and solution-seeking attitude

  • excellent team working skills

  • ability to speak and write in English


We also value

  • previous experience as lead engineer

  • project management experience

  • Experience in functional safety
