About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team in Eindhoven, Netherlands In this role, you will focus on building and maintaining automation solutions for infrastructure and application environments, leveraging modern DevOps tools and scripting technologies.
You will work closely with DevOps, Platform, and Infrastructure teams to develop scalable automation frameworks, improve operational efficiency, and ensure reliable deployment pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Development
Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventories for infrastructure and application automation.
Create and maintain YAML configurations and Jinja2 templates for scalable and reusable automation frameworks.
Write and enhance Python scripts to support automation logic, validations, and custom Ansible modules.
CI/CD & Version Control
Implement and manage Git-based workflows using GitLab or GitHub, including branching strategies and version control.
Integrate automation processes with CI/CD pipelines and orchestration tools
Orchestration & Integration
Integrate automation with orchestration platforms such as Rundeck, Ansible Tower/AWX, or Jenkins
Ensure smooth execution of automated workflows across systems and environments.
Troubleshooting & Optimization
Investigate and resolve automation failures, identify root causes, and improve execution reliability.
Optimize automation scripts and pipelines for performance, scalability, and maintainability
Collaboration & Best Practices
Work closely with DevOps, Platform, and Infrastructure teams to implement automation best practices.
Ensure solutions comply with security, compliance, and operational standards
Required Skills & Experience

6–8 years of experience in automation or DevOps engineering roles.
Strong expertise in Python and Shell scripting
Hands-on experience with Ansible automation frameworks
Experience with Azure CI/CD pipelines
Strong knowledge of YAML configuration and Jinja2 templating
Experience working with Git-based version control systems (GitLab/GitHub)
Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced hands-on experience with Ansible (E2 level or equivalent)
Experience with orchestration tools such as Rundeck, Ansible Tower/AWX, or Jenkins
Strong understanding of automation frameworks and DevOps best practices
Automation-first mindset with focus on scalability, reusability, and maintainability
