Help shape the future of industrial automation

As an Automation Engineer, you take ownership of complex automation projects across Beaulieu International Group. You combine technical expertise with a hands-on approach to improve production assets, strengthen connectivity, and help shape value that lasts. You work across divisions, support sites worldwide, and contribute directly to operational excellence, safety, digitalization, and long-term business success.

Your responsibilities

  • Take ownership of complex automation projects from concept to implementation, while safeguarding scope, planning, and budget.
  • Evaluate make-or-buy decisions and either develop automation solutions yourself or coordinate external partners.
  • Deliver projects ranging from mid-life upgrades and retrofits to machine integration and the development of new control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, machine safety requirements, cybersecurity standards, and group policies.
  • Drive improvement initiatives that increase output, quality, and efficiency while reducing waste.
  • Coordinate initiatives across divisions and translate best practices into measurable business value.
  • Support data science initiatives through reliable data acquisition and the integration of ICT and MES applications.
  • Execute and coordinate automation tasks and projects related to Operational Technologies, such as industrial networks, camera vision, integration of ICT/MES systems.
  • Support the divisions with technical expertise in digital diagnostics.

Your profile

  • You hold a Master's degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • You have at least 5 year's experience with industrial automation and operational technology environments.
  • You work hands-on and take ownership of technical challenges from analysis to implementation.
  • You have a working knowledge of Siemens TIA Portal, E-plan, industrial networks, machine safety standards, frequency converters, and drivetrains.
  • You are eager to learn and continuously expand your expertise in safety, OT cybersecurity, automation, and data connectivity.
  • You communicate effectively in English and Dutch or French.
