Your Job

As an Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes. You will analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions that improve machine performance, minimize downtime, and optimize maintenance costs. Working closely with Maintenance, Production, Engineering, and Technical Stores teams, you will support automation, robotics, vision systems, and electrical infrastructure across production operations.

You will join a collaborative Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance team focused on driving operational excellence and equipment reliability. Our team works closely with Production, Quality, and Continuous Improvement functions to enhance manufacturing performance, implement innovative technologies, and create long-term value for our customers and business.

What You Will Do

  • Drive improvements in machine reliability by analyzing breakdowns and implementing corrective and preventive actions
  • Partner with Maintenance and Production teams to reduce downtime and increase production efficiency
  • Own and improve key equipment performance indicators, including MTTR and MTBF
  • Support commissioning, acceptance, and ramp-up of new manufacturing equipment
  • Identify recurring technical issues and lead automation, electrical, and robotics-related improvements
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies to increase equipment availability
  • Utilize CMMS tools to plan, coordinate, and monitor maintenance activities
  • Provide technical expertise in PLCs, robotics, vision systems, drives, and industrial automation technologies
  • Manage technical modification projects while balancing performance, reliability, and cost objectives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and operational performance

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in industrial automation, maintenance engineering, or a related manufacturing environment
  • Ability to troubleshoot and modify PLC programs
  • Knowledge of industrial robotics, including diagnostics and fault resolution
  • Experience with industrial vision systems and related adjustments or optimization
  • Understanding of electrical systems, sensors, measurement devices, drives, and servo technologies
  • Experience using CMMS systems for maintenance planning and execution
  • Ability to analyze technical problems and implement sustainable solutions
  • Communicative English skills enabling cooperation in an international environment

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience supporting high-volume automated manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Reliability Engineering methodologies
  • Experience participating in machine commissioning and industrialization projects
  • Understanding of machine design fundamentals and mechanical systems
  • Advanced knowledge of industrial networking and automation architectures
  • Experience managing maintenance or automation-related budgets and investment projects
