The role of an automation leader is to manage resources, improvements, and changes in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) for all equipment and facilities, focusing on fault correction and elimination through mastery of automation and PLC software applied to equipment, ensuring the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of efficient solutions. You will be responsible for coordinating and developing a team of automation engineers, ensuring the delivery of high-impact projects, the standardization of best practices, and the continuous improvement of automated processes throughout the company.
Manage priorities for fault response and plant improvements focused on automation issues.
Ensure proper backup of all automated systems.
Define priorities and activities for the automation team and follow up on their fulfillment.
Identify and develop the technical aspects required by the automation team.
Identify and develop activities that can be performed autonomously by the maintenance and manufacturing areas.
Document and standardize automation processes.
Validate, standardize, and ensure that automation equipment is repaired.
Identify critical points that affect the useful life, repair, and preventive maintenance of all automation equipment.
Identify and develop standards for the care and repair of automation equipment.
Ensure compliance with the code of ethics and code of conduct, with the responsibility of reporting any incidents and acting accordingly in accordance with group regulations.
Ensure that equipment complies with internal regulations in the latest available update.
Contact central teams to manage and implement improvements.
Training for technicians, maintenance supervisors, manufacturing engineers, and automation engineers.
Document specific procedures for problem solving.
5 years of previous experience in an automotive plant or industry environment.
Experience and knowledge of Quality, Health, Safety, Environment, Industry 4.0, cybersecurity, networks, servers, and traceability systems.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of maintenance and automation.
Pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems of industrial machinery.
Basic knowledge of identifying hazards and risks of environmental aspects/impacts.
Experience in systems integration.
Experience in automation project management.
Experience in programming networks, servers, and PLCs from initial configuration.
