Job Description

Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Coordinator to support and lead the deployment of robotic systems in our factory in Itajuba/MG ’.
This dual-role is critical in:

  • Identifying and implementing robotization opportunities to support productivity improvement and potential scalability in others similar factories.
  • Acting as the main interface between factory operations and digital technology teams (IT/OT) to ensure seamless integration of robotic systems into our digital landscape (SAP, MES, windchill, etc.).
  • Combine strong operational knowledge with advanced understanding of digital systems to ensure both physical deployment and data/system integration are delivered successfully and sustainably.

Essential Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and budgets in alignment with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and lead planning, execution, and delivery of robotic projects from concept to commissioning with factory teams ((engineering, operations, maintenance, safety) & and external vendors/integrators.
  • Manage project risks, change controls, and resource constraints to ensure successful deployment.

Business Case Development

  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify automation/robotization opportunities.
  • Define ROI, payback period, and performance KPIs for proposed robotic investments.
  • Prepare and present detailed business cases to factory leadership and robotics & automation central team to support capital investment decisions

Digital System Integration (SAP, MES, Networks, Databases)

  • Act as the key interface between operational teams and IT/digital stakeholders to align needs and system requirements.
  • Ensure proper integration of robotic and automation systems with enterprise platforms (SAP, MES, SCADA, …).
  • Validate data flow and system compatibility: including master data, production orders, traceability, and real-time data.
  • Support network infrastructure planning, cybersecurity compliance, and digital architecture design.

Technical Support & Oversight

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to validate technical feasibility and integration of robotic systems.
  • Oversee system acceptance testing (FAT, SAT) and post-installation performance validation.
  • Collaborate with the Digital organization teams to ensure the readiness of production sites for new robotic systems (connectivity, data mapping, protocols).

Continuous Improvement & Strategy

  • Support the development of roadmap for future robotic initiatives in the factory and the scalability of some running projects.
  • Contribute to the roadmap of robotic and digital initiatives at the factory and business line level.
  • Help define integration standards, digital best practices, and scalable solutions.
  • Support internal capability building and knowledge in the site

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics) or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
  • Experience in robotics implementation, automation, or manufacturing project management.
  • Robotic/automation projects in factory environments.
  • Experience with low-volume, high-mix production settings and scaling capacity through automation.

Languages:

  • Fluent in Portuguese (written and spoken)
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
