Your Mission

Maximize equipment reliability, production efficiency, and product quality by supporting manufacturing processes and automated systems, with a primary focus on FANUC Robots and related automation technologies such as NI Labview, Siemens PLCs, and other machine controllers.

How you will make a difference

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize FANUC robotic systems and automated production equipment.
• Support production by rapidly resolving automation, process, and equipment issues.
• Analyze manufacturing performance and implement improvements to reduce downtime, scrap, and inefficiencies.
• Modify and improve robotic programs, tooling, and process parameters to enhance productivity and quality.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and Operations standards.
• Partner with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Support automation upgrades, equipment modifications, and capital projects as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.

What you should be good at

Robotics

• Hands-on FANUC robot programming, troubleshooting, and support.
• FANUC Teach Pendant programming and RoboGuide software.
• Robot motion optimization, tool setup, user frames, and TCP calibration.
• Troubleshooting servo, robotic, mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
• Automation system commissioning, validation, and startup support.
• Integration of robots with peripherals, vision systems, and manufacturing equipment.
• Industrial safety systems and robotic cell safety requirements.

Controls & Systems

• Working knowledge of NI Labview, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms.
• Knowledge of manufacturing machine controllers such as Mazatrol (Smooth/Matrix/Nexus), Siemens, Heidenhain, MAPPS, Okuma OSP,
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, DeviceNet, and Modbus.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control panel drawings, and automation documentation.
• Knowledge of CMM programming (PCDMIS preferred)
• Knowledge of HMI systems, sensors, actuators, drives, and industrial networks.
• Experience supporting machine controls and automated production equipment.

Manufacturing Engineering

• Knowledge of injection molding, heat treatment, and/or machining (turning and milling)
• Able to read and understand G-code and/or able to program in a CNC programming environment
• Able to create 3D models and 2D prints using commercial design/drafting software
• Manufacturing process optimization and continuous improvement.
• Root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and waste reduction techniques.
• Statistical analysis and process capability improvement.
• Production support in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Development of process documentation, standard work, and engineering procedures.
• Equipment utilization, capacity analysis, and workflow optimization.

Qualifications

• 4 year bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Automation, or closely related discipline).
• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferably hands-on FANUC robot programming, troubleshooting, and automation support desired
• FANUC Robot certification highly desired
• PLC, Lean Six Sigma training/certifications preferred
