We are seeking an Automation & Instrumentation Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance electrical, instrumentation, and process automation systems across the site. In this role, you will provide technical expertise for troubleshooting and reliability improvement efforts, lead automation and digitalization projects, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

As a Automation and Instrumentation Engineer, you create chemistry by...

  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems, including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, MCCs, sensors, valves, motors, Wonderware System Platform, and related software applications.
  • Designing, developing, and enhancing automation solutions while investigating equipment downtime and quality deviations to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Performing preventive maintenance on electrical, instrumentation, digitalization, and automation equipment to ensure system reliability and optimal performance.
  • Managing industrial automation applications, hardware, and change management processes in accordance with site policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of electrical, automation, and process control documentation, drawings, and technical records.
  • Developing and executing automation and capital improvement projects, including scope, schedules, budgets, resource planning, and technical specifications.
  • Overseeing equipment installations and modifications while ensuring compliance with NFPA, OSHA, BASF, and other applicable safety and regulatory standards.
  • Promoting a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement by ensuring electrical and automation systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

If you...

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Bring a minimum of five years of experience supporting, troubleshooting, and optimizing industrial automation and instrumentation systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, process controls, and related equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Possess relevant professional certifications or technical accreditations in automation, controls, instrumentation, project management, or related fields, which are considered a plus.
