Job Title: Autoline Operator

Reports To: Yard/Operations Leadership (Jacobi Cary / Kevin Scarbro)
Travel: None expected
Compensation: $18–$20/hour

The Autoline Operator supports production efficiency and material processing by operating and monitoring automated sorting equipment. This role is critical to maintaining throughput, ensuring material quality, and supporting safe and efficient yard operations in a fast-paced recycling environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor autoline/sorting equipment to ensure efficient material processing
  • Inspect materials and remove contaminants or non-conforming items as needed
  • Maintain consistent production flow and meet throughput expectations
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report mechanical or safety issues promptly
  • Coordinate with equipment operators, yard staff, and supervisors to maintain workflow
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirementsMaintain cleanliness and organization of work area and surrounding equipment
  • Adapt to changing production needs and assist with general yard operations as needed
Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify material inconsistencies
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and operational instructions
  • Comfort working around machinery and industrial equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in recycling, manufacturing, or production environments
  • Experience working with automated or conveyor-based systems
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Work Environment / Schedule:
  • Outdoor/industrial environment with exposure to dust, noise, and moving equipment
  • Monday – Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • Occasional Saturdays required (especially during peak season through May)
  • Schedule subject to change based on production demands
