POSITION LOCATION: Windhoek, Khomas, Namibia
POSITON NAME: Auto Workshop Manager
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and motivate a workshop team, maintaining discipline and high-performance standards at all times.
- Plan and allocate daily job cards to ensure throughput targets are met.
- Monitor and control workshop workflow to minimise vehicle downtime and turnaround times.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work meets quality standards before vehicles are returned to service.
- Coordinate parts ordering, workshop consumables, and liaise with stock department to avoid delays.
- Oversee and sign off on:
- Job cards, service records, and workshop reports.
- Vehicle inspection and damage reports.
- Preventative maintenance schedules.
- Workshop productivity and daily job completion. - Schedule and monitor:
- Workshop staff schedules.
- Vehicle breakdown callouts.
- Vehicle service history and maintenance logs. - Enforce health, safety, and housekeeping standards in the workshop at all times.
- Identify training needs and support the development of workshop staff.
- Be willing to work on weekends and public holidays
- Must reside in Windhoek
Skills & Qualifications
- Qualified mechanic with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience, including a management position.
- Proven ability to lead a team with authority, respect, and accountability.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workflow, priorities, and deadlines under pressure.
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (written and spoken).
Valid driving license and transport. - Experience with Toyota Hilux and Land Cruiser vehicles is advantageous.
