Uniban Canada, a part of the Driven Brands family of automotive aftermarket franchise brands, is a leading technology-based provider of automotive glass repair, replacement and ADAS calibration services for vehicle owners, fleets and insurance carriers. Founded in 1977, Uniban Canada also offers technology-enabled glass claims management services for insurance carriers.
Uniban Canada today has the largest network of installers with more than 320 service centres and 300 mobile units. Our network of franchises, banners, and authorized agents is connected by the corporate objectives and the shared values of customer satisfaction and superior customer experience.
Specific responsibilities include:
•Install windshields and auto glass in our shop or from a mobile operation unit
•Calibrate vehicle electronics such as ADAS systems, Lane Departure Warning,
Forward Collision Alert, etc.
•Repair chips and other glass damage
•Interact with customers to ensure customer satisfaction with a job well done
•Process payments from mobile customers
•Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude
•Maintain cleanliness of work environment
•Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on installed products and equipment
•Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves malfunctions of a moderately complex
nature
•Determines when products should be upgraded or replaced
•Communicates information that requires some explanation or interpretation
Additional Responsibilities:
•Perform vehicle detailing operations to established standards
•Vacuuming, cleaning, and shampooing interior with cleaning and extracting
equipment
oPower wash exterior of vehicle
oA valid driver's license and good driving record is required
oPaint correction and application of Ziebart approved paint protection
products
oFinal detailing the vehicles for customer deliveries
•Perform rust protection services to established standards
•Drill access holes in body metals
•Spray various rust protection products inside panels & under body as required
•Produce work in a timely manner
•Maintain safe and clean work environment
Skills/Qualifications/Physical Requirements:
•1+ Year(s) of automotive glass installation experience recommended
•Must have a valid driver’s license
•Must be able to maneuver around vehicles to position yourself safely during
installations
•Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time
and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
•Capable of working any day of the week and work in hot/cold weather conditions
•Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
•Basic computer skills: ability to use a keyboard and a mouse to correctly collect
and enter information into a point of sale system
•Exceptional customer service skills
•Attention to detail
•Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members
•Comfortable working in fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
to accomplish goals
•Motivated self-starter who is willing to work independently and with teams
