Automotive Safety and Emissions Inspector – Ted Britt Automotive Group

Ted Britt Automotive Group is seeking a Safety and Emissions Inspector to join our Service Department. This role is essential to ensuring vehicles meet state safety and emissions requirements while delivering professional and compliant service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform state safety and emissions inspections in accordance with applicable state regulations.
• Accurately complete inspection documentation and electronic reporting as required by the state.
• Identify and document inspection failures and required repairs clearly and professionally.
• Explain inspection results to Service Advisors and customers as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all state, dealership, and manufacturer inspection requirements.
• Maintain current inspector certifications and licenses.

ADA Essential Duties

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move around vehicles for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to operate inspection equipment safely.
• Ability to communicate clearly in person and electronically.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
