Job Description

Hartford Steam Boiler has an opportunity for an inspector to join their growing team in Durango Mexico.

The position will fulfill the duties of the ASME Authorized Inspector for new fabrication and third-party inspection to requirements of HSB Global Inspection & Engineering Services programs and procedures.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related discipline.

Experience Required:

Minimum of two years experience in the design, fabrication, operation, etc. of Boilers and/or Pressure Vessels.

Experience Desired:

Experience on NDE, Welding, ASME Code, Design, Manufacture and Quality Control of Pressure Vessels and Boilers.

Technical Skills Required:

Ability to read fabrication drawings, including weld symbols. Proficient in the use of inspection measurement tools. Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code

Technical Skills Desired:

All required qualifications plus proficiency in verifying proper qualification of welding/NDE, procedures and personel. Experience in auditing an ASME certificate holder for Joint review preparation as well as ASME Quality Program compliance.

Non-technical Skill Required:

Self-directed, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in English. Proficient in the use of Microsoft office databases.

Non-technical Skills Desired:

Required qualifications plus fluent in both Spanish and English.
