Authorized Compliance Trainer

Position Overview

Objective:

To provide classroom and on-the-job training for all SAFE programs specific to authorized associates. Serve as a subject matter expert and resource to authorized associates. Maintain all training records and documentation for audits, including OSHA, BSI and ISO.

Responsibilities:

• Present delegated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) training in a manner that engages the participants and ensures they leave the training with the necessary content understanding.
• Ensure all training is completed on time by all appropriate associates and properly documented in accordance to plant, corporate and regulatory policies.
• Provide training support to on-the-job trainers, auditors, and authorized associates.
• Provide Job Instruction (JI), practice and assessment in accordance with authorized training requirements.
• Maintain certifications to teach Arc Flash NFPA 70E, Fall Protection and Hoisting and Rigging.
• Primary trainer for all authorized compliance training including Arc Flash, Confined Space, Hot Work, Lock Out Tag Out, Fall Protection, Hoisting & Rigging, and Radiation Awareness.
• Coordinate and maintain all authorized and compliance training and documentation per Risk Management requirements.
• Train and Audit machine specific trainers to ensure consistency and accuracy of information.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through feedback, refresher sessions and coaching.
• Assist or support the delivery of plant level New Hire Orientation and any other training programs as directed by the Training Manager, including all initial authorized training.
• Promotes the performance of the Backing Division team by seeking to continually improve, build trusting relationships and assist the plant leadership group with activities and events.
• Perform administrative duties and other projects requested.

Minimum Requirements:

• Authorized in Fall Protection, Lockout and Hoisting & Rigging
• 2-3 years Industrial Maintenance experience or 2 years of EHS experience or 5 years of training experience
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) or Google Apps (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
• Excellent communication skills - including group and individual presentation skills
• Must be able to work flexible hours based on production schedules, including weekends
• GED or High School Diploma required
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• A positive attitude and the ability to work well with a diverse group of people
• Great attention to detail
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Travel for training and maintaining certifications is required

Preferred Skills:

• OSHA 10 and 30 hour training certification
• CIT Certification
• NFPA 70E Qualified
• CPR/First Aid Certification

Work Shift

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
