
Authorization/Scheduling Specialist – Full-Time Position – Raleigh Location
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Authorization/Scheduling Specialist to support our therapy services team. This role focuses on obtaining therapy authorizations, coordinating schedules, verifying insurance, and providing excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities:
Obtain and maintain authorizations and referrals for physical therapy services
Verify insurance eligibility and maintain accurate patient information
Manage Workers’ Compensation authorizations and visits
Assist with new patient scheduling, including phone calls, faxes, voicemails and walk-ins
Monitor and maintain accurate therapy schedules and new patient availability
Coordinate authorization information with scheduling and clinical teams
Complete patient registration and required eligibility forms
Greet and assist patients and visitors and provide directions as needed
Provide backup support for Patient Service Representative (PSR) duties
Perform general administrative and clerical duties as assigned

Medical scheduling, insurance verification, or authorization experience preferred
Strong computer skills and ability to learn multiple systems

$16–$22 per hour, based on experience
