Senior Consultant Authorization Acquiring is a key member of our Authorization Centre (AC) team responsible for product management and development of the heart of all GPE Payments Systems - the Authorization System. Main focus will be on an initiative to migrate from current authorization host BASE24 (developed by the US company ACI) to the new authorization host PowerZaC. PowerZac is delivered to GPE from its Croatian subsidiary ZMSinfo. ZMSinfo provides GPE with the CORE system, while GPE will be responsible for system configuration, operations and small development of PERL scripts which are used for translation of messages to various protocols. Migration itself will cover GAP analysis and implementation as well as connecting current customers and surrounding systems to the new solution.

The role requires an analytical person with an IT background as well as understanding payment industry content, mainly the Payment Card industry with focus on Payment Transaction Authorization. Key is a strong willingness to learn, ability to analyze and capability to support and improve these systems and design new solutions with focus on Acquiring part of the payment environment. based on current technological possibilities and market demands.

The Senior Consultant must be communicative, bringing dynamics or even healthy disruption into the existing team, with ability to sell his/her ideas and strong ownership of the product.

SPECIFIC TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Analyze business requirements together with the AC development team as well as others (such as eCom team) and design solutions, including estimating needed effort to deliver those requirements.
• Get yourself acquainted with various specifications, mainly from Card Associations (such as MC, VISA, AMEX etc)
• Collaborate with IT team and developers to produce new solutions - even out of the box
• Examine and evaluate current systems
• Analyze and document interfaces between systems, such as our PowerZac and various customer and internal systems
• Perform certification process with all card associations, support testing
• Provide operation support to our customers - mainly on design level of association rules
• Stay up-to-date with current solutions, processes, products and technologies in this specific area and share the gained knowledge with other team members
• Be passionate about possible innovations and how to increase efficiency together with the team
• Regular close cooperation with other teams within GPE and globally - be the single point of contact for various teams.
• Provides true and complete information on the progress of work and performance of a task to his/her supervisor in the project or development team / utilizes the right tools for it, such as JIRA
• Capable of working in a Waterfall environment while other teams will work in Agile environments.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

Education, Working Experience and Knowledge:

• At least 5 years of experience in relevant positions as Solution Consultant or in the Payment Card industry.
• Knowledge of banking/card sector, online payments, authorization, cryptography and e-commerce
• Experience with system design
• Ability to define and develop algorithms, estimate and explain effort needed for an implementation
• Define the scope of the project together with the estimates in collaboration with team
• Appreciated former hands on experience with software development and documentation
