About the job:
Auditor
We are seeking a motivated, analytical and detail-oriented Auditor to join Group Internal Audit as a member of the Market, Liquidity, Operational Risk & Capital Audit team. As part of the team, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening the Bank's risk management and internal control framework, helping enhance governance, support regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement through risk-based auditing and data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute and report risk-based audits across Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, Operational Risk, Capital Adequacy (ICAAP) and Resolution, covering areas such as IRRBB/CSRBB, ILAAP, ALM, stress testing, regulatory reporting, risk limits and quantitative models.
- Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of governance arrangements, internal controls, policies, procedures and risk management methodologies.
- Perform audit testing, data analysis and reperformance activities using SQL, Python, Excel and other analytics tools to validate key processes and support audit conclusions.
- Prepare audit documentation and draft audit reports in line with Group Internal Audit standards and methodologies.
- Monitor the implementation of agreed remediation actions and assess their effectiveness through follow-up reviews.
- Provide advisory support on risk management processes, methodologies, systems and regulatory developments.
- Monitor banking regulatory and supervisory developments, including EBA Guidelines, CRR/CRD, ECB expectations and SRB requirements, while contributing to the continuous enhancement of audit methodologies and data analytics capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Risk Management or a related field.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field will be considered an asset.
- At least 3 years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting or Consulting within the banking or financial services sector.
- Good understanding of banking regulatory and supervisory frameworks, including CRR/CRD, EBA Guidelines, Basel Framework, DORA, ECB expectations and SRB requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
- Practical experience with SQL for data extraction and analysis; knowledge of Python or Power BI will be considered a strong asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Collaborative mindset with a positive attitude and strong team spirit.
