The Ministry of Children and Family Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Auditor to join our Internal Audit team.
Reporting to the Audit Supervisor, this role plays a critical part in supporting all levels of management, including the Executive Director and Senior Financial Officer, by providing independent, objective assurance and consulting services.
As an Auditor, you will help safeguard public resources and enhance operational effectiveness by evaluating internal controls, risk management practices, and governance processes. Your work will contribute directly to ensuring that programs are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with legislative and contractual requirements ultimately helping to build trust and confidence in the Ministry’s operations.
1. In conjunction with the Audit Supervisor, the auditor is responsible for planning, conducting and finalizing audits of selected (risk-based) programs within the ministry and external service providers, to evaluate compliance, effectiveness, economy and efficiency.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following competencies:
Minimum Recruitment Standard
Requirements University graduation in a related field and eligible for enrollment in a recognized accounting program leading to an accounting designation such as CPA plus two years of audit experience; or equivalent as described below.
Equivalencies An equivalent combination of education and experience provided the candidate is enrolled and actively pursuing a recognized accounting designation such as CPA.
