Job Description

The Office of Admissions is seeking an organized, tech-savvy, and customer-centric Auditions and Interviews (A&I) Coordinator Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions for A&I, this position coordinates the event logistics, digital systems, and communications that power thousands of audition experiences for Berklee College of Music and the Boston Conservatory at Berklee. In this role, you will combine technical event coordination with empathetic counseling to ensure prospective students and their families receive world-class VIP treatment. Key Responsibilities

Audition Scheduling & Digital Operations:

  • Virtual Room Management: Serve as the primary technical resource for online auditions, building out virtual audition spaces using the Zoom platform.
  • Logistical Procurement: Support domestic travel auditions and special "Berklee On The Road" initiatives by coordinating regional venue layouts, scheduling, and equipment rentals.
  • Financial Administration: Collaborate with Accounts Payable to draft contracts, file supplier invoice requests, and arrange payments for visiting artists and adjudicators.
  • Workflow Optimization: Maintain digital event structures, assist in monitoring the overarching audition budget lines, and develop training manuals for staff and student workers.

Event Facilitation & Relationship Management:

  • On-Campus Execution: Prepare all administrative materials, manage catering parameters, coordinate vendor setups, and provide live technical support for on-campus audition dates.
  • Applicant Counseling: Serve as a primary point of contact for admissions pipeline inquiries, guiding prospective families through structural expectations, formats, and audition portfolio criteria.
  • Strategic Follow-Up: Partner with Enrollment Marketing to build out post-audition communication sequences, and supervise student workers during live operational windows.
  • Admissions Base Support: Provide a collaborative staffing presence during high-visibility, pan-college events including Open House, Admitted Students Day, and student Orientation.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in event facilitation, administrative systems operations, or a high-touch customer service environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with modern digital office platforms. Direct working experience with Salesforce, Zoom, and FormAssembly is highly desirable.
  • Core Competencies: Stellar administrative precision, exceptional time-management habits, and an independent, self-motivated approach to executing projects.
  • Communication Polish: Mature interpersonal skills capable of delivering clear, encouraging, and articulate guidance to a highly diverse global cohort of applicants and parents.
  • Preferred Background: Musical training or direct exposure to performing arts environments is strongly preferred to help you authentically relate to applicants.

Hiring Range: $46,000 to $59,000; salary dependent on experience and education.
