CharteredPartners is seeking an experienced audit and assurance professional to join our client in Singapore at Partner level. The successful candidate will hold engagement sign-off responsibility as a registered public accountant, lead the delivery of statutory audits across listed and large private clients, and take ownership of building the client portfolio and referral network. Key Responsibilities:

• Act as engagement signing partner on statutory audits, taking final sign-off responsibility for audit opinions issued under the Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA).
• Lead and conclude on significant audit judgements, including going concern, revenue recognition and the audit of complex estimates, in line with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (International).
• Own a portfolio of listed (SGX), large private and group audit clients, managing risk acceptance, scoping and engagement economics.
• Originate new mandates and grow the practice through referral relationships, intermediary networks and existing client expansion.
• Provide technical leadership to managers and senior staff, reviewing the more difficult areas of the file and resolving contentious accounting and auditing matters.
• Maintain the firm's standing with ACRA as registrar of public accountants and audit firms, supporting practice review readiness and inspection responses.
• Oversee engagement quality, independence and ethics compliance across the portfolio, escalating matters to the firm's risk function where appropriate.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Chartered Accountant of Singapore, CA (Singapore), in good standing with ISCA.
• Registered, or immediately eligible to be registered, as a public accountant with ACRA, with the practice experience to support registration.
• Substantial post-qualification experience in external audit, with a clear record of partner-level or equivalent engagement leadership.
• Demonstrable sign-off or de facto signing experience on statutory audits of listed or large private entities.
• Deep working knowledge of the Singapore Standards on Auditing and SFRS(I), including recent and emerging requirements.
• Familiarity with SGX listing rules and the reporting obligations of issuers and their auditors.
• Strong grasp of independence, ethics and quality management requirements applicable to audit firms in Singapore.
• Evidence of building and retaining client relationships and of winning new audit and assurance work.
• Sound commercial judgement on engagement risk, pricing and resourcing.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with the gravitas to engage audit committees and boards.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience within a mid-tier or larger audit firm with a registered public accountant population.
• Exposure to cross-border group audits and coordination with overseas component auditors.
• Sector depth in areas such as real estate, financial services, technology or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with IRAS reporting interactions and the tax dimension of audited financial statements.
• Track record of mentoring managers through to public accountant registration.
• An established referral network among lawyers, bankers and corporate advisers in Singapore.

Compensation:

Competitive package commensurate with seniority and experience, including base, performance-based bonus, long-term incentives and (where applicable) partner-track participation.
