The Opportunity as Audit Senior - South Africa

We're looking for an experienced Audit Senior based in South Africa to support our growing UK Audit team. Working on a diverse portfolio of UK audit engagements, including owner-managed businesses and corporate groups, you'll help deliver high-quality audit work, collaborate with colleagues and support junior auditors.

This is an opportunity to gain exposure to UK audit engagements while contributing to an ambitious, collaborative independent firm. You'll work closely with our UK-based teams and develop your technical and professional skills as the practice continues to grow.

What You’ll Be Doing as Audit Senior

• Deliver and coordinate audit work for UK SMEs, groups and larger companies, under the direction of UK engagement managers.
• Coordinate with UK engagement teams, support junior colleagues and communicate audit queries clearly.
• Support audit planning, fieldwork, testing and completion, maintaining clear and accurate working papers.
• Build effective working relationships with colleagues and, where appropriate, clients.
• Review work and mentor trainees and junior team members as required.
• Deliver work accurately and on time, in line with applicable UK audit methodologies and quality requirements.
• Identify and escalate audit issues promptly and contribute to improvements in audit delivery.

About You as Audit Senior

• CA(SA), ACA, ACCA or a comparable recognised professional accountancy qualification.
• External audit experience in an accountancy practice, including responsibility for audit assignments.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and confidence collaborating with UK-based colleagues.
• Strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Committed to high-quality audit work and professional client service; familiarity with UK auditing and reporting requirements is advantageous.
