Job Description

The Audit Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls and processes within the bank's branch network. They will work closely with stakeholders to identify and address potential risks, and drive process improvements to enhance overall operational efficiency. The role requires a strong understanding of branch banking operations, regulatory requirements, and internal audit practices.
  • Perform internal audits of RL Branches, Currency Chest, Cash Points, LCC, and RPC as per the Audit Plan.
  • Assess process, risk, and control to drive process improvement in branch functions.
  • Independently discuss and conclude audit findings with stakeholders.
  • Document audit findings and maintain high-quality work papers.
  • Prepare and deliver timely, high-quality audit reports.
  • Coordinate with concurrent auditors and manage concurrent audit reports for Branches/Currency Chest/RPC.
  • Work as a team player with a commercial mindset and strong collaboration skills.
  • Understand and evaluate business processes, testing the effectiveness of controls, and identifying weaknesses.
  • Apply audit principles to support internal audit assignments effectively.
  • Stay updated with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of Branch Banking, LCC, and related operational functions, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • CA or CIA qualification is an added advantage.
  • Exposure or experience in Internal Audit or Internal Risk Control practices is preferred.
  • Strong data analytical skills, with the ability to correlate and work effectively with data.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Effective report-writing and presentation skills, with good verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • CA/MBA qualification or prior experience of 1-5 years in Branch Banking Audit.
  • Quick learner with the ability to understand branch functions and business processes.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
