Qualifications



  1. Qualifications:
    1. Education and Licensure
      1. AuD. (Doctor of Audiology) degree from an accredited university program.
      2. Current and valid state licensure in Audiology.
      3. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech- Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.


    1. Experience:
      1. Previous clinical experience in an audiology setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
      2. Experience with hearing aid dispensing and fitting is highly desirable.
      3. Experience with vestibular and/or tinnitus assessment and management is a plus.
    1. Skills and Abilities:
      1. Excellent clinical skills in diagnostic audiology and hearing rehabilitation.
      2. Proficiency in operating and interpreting results from a variety of audiological equipment.
      3. Strong counseling and interpersonal communication skills.
      4. Ability to explain complex information clearly and empathetically to patients and families.
      5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
      6. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
      7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
      8. Commitment to providing patient-centered care.
  1. Physical Requirements:
      1. Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
      2. Fine motor dexterity for operating audiological equipment and manipulating small objects.
      3. Visual acuity to observe patient responses and interpret test results.
      4. Hearing sensitivity to perform accurate audiometric testing.
  1. Work Environment:
      1. Clinical office setting.
      2. Exposure to medical equipment and supplies.
      3. Interaction with patients who may have communication difficulties or be emotionally distressed.
