- Apply audiological principles in selecting appropriate test procedures and interpreting results for: otoscopic examination, behavioral testing, pure-tone and speech audiometry, speech in noise testing, impedance testing including tympanometry, acoustic reflex and reflex decay, otoacoustic emissions testing and other assessments that may be judged necessary for appropriate patient management across the lifespan. - Apply current audiological principles in patient-centered amplification practices while providing hearing aid evaluations, selection, fittings, and counseling for hearing aid technology and assistive listening devices. - Apply current audiological principles in hearing conservation, hearing protection advocacy, plugs, muffs, and custom-made noise protectors as appropriate - Experience with vestibular assessment (ENG/VNG). - Experience with cochlear implant mapping and follow-up strongly preferred. - Quality patient care is of utmost importance; therefore, continuing education becomes the responsibility of the Audiologist. Minimum expectations for continuing education and ethics credits are expected as required by state licensure. - Strong work ethic and high regard to exceptional patient care, billing, coding and maintenance of patient records. - Practice universal precautions and clinical procedures to ensure patient and coworker safety as well as office cleanliness.

Education Qualifications

  • Master's Degree Required
  • Doctorate In audiology or communication disorders as well as certified Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Conducts oneself in order to promote positive relationships with physicians, staff, contracted individuals, patients, and visitors.
  • Provides ongoing community service activities such as: speaking engagements, advocacy for the hearing impaired students in area schools, social service/support groups and/or LeadWell activities.
  • Responsible for adhering to product pricing (hearing aids, assistive listening devices, etc.) based on customary and reasonable charges, maintaining supplies and ordering as needed.
  • Follows clinic policies related to provider work standards, timely documentation of patient encounters, timely submission of charges and quality patient care.
  • Responsible for providing professional supervision of graduate Audiology students in their on-site externships at Prevea Health.
  • Responsible for attending department meetings and providing input regarding the audiological services within Prevea Health.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified, or certifiable for CCC-A from the American Speech and Hearing Association Upon Hire Required
  • License includes: Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing for Audiologist and hearing instrument specialist. Upon Hire Required
