Job Description

This position will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of the sound and lighting systems in all applicable areas of the property.

  • Acts as principle contact between the property and the performers.
  • Supervises as well as setup and maintain the sound and lighting systems
  • Operates the sound and light systems for assigned shows and events.
  • Oversees setup and strike of band equipment for different acts in entertainment venues.
  • Conducts sound and lighting checks for bands for entertainment venue Performances.
  • Advises on sound and lighting equipment purchases and setup.
  • Acts as the Supervisor over the Stage Light-Sound Technician
  • Works with Caesars network engineering for maintenance and operation of network switches for AV network.
  • Works as a liaison with Convention Services Manager for room sales and AV equipment rentals/setups.
  • Oversee any maintenance contracts associated with sound and lighting equipment
  • Responsible for maintenance and operation of IPTV distribution system for casino TVs
  • Responsible for maintenance and operation of audio and video sources for casino distribution
  • Demonstrates expertise in all service standards and clearly communicates expectations to team members.
  • Rigorously hold all team members accountable for always exhibiting all service standards and ensuring they know the value that these behaviors create for the guests, employees and Company
  • Models a passion for the Company mission, vision and values as well as inspiring team members to do the same.
  • Executes the Service Recovery model at a proficient level as well as ensuring all team members are empowered to efficiently utilize the tools of the service recovery model.
  • Must be an expert on how customer service is measured and be able to articulate service scores to team members.
  • Must be an effective coach and developer of team members by using the leader coaching skills to get, guide and root for employees.
  • Works to improve service breakdowns to minimize or prevent impact to our guests and/or employees.
  • Creates onboarding training experiences for new hires to set them up for success.
  • Creates and updates training and development tools
  • Motivates the team to work toward peak performance
  • Consistently manages employee labor through efficient scheduling and staffing to business volume and demand
  • Demonstrate ways of reducing costs when executing inventories and ordering
  • Must think creatively and innovatively to always identify cost savings opportunities
  • Train department trainers to execute top notch training for new hires
  • Acts as a role model
  • Follows company policies and procedures as well as state and federal guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Minimum of 5 years live sound and lighting engineering experience.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Able to read, comprehend, and apply technical material.
  • Must communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Must have an awareness of job responsibilities and effectively apply them.
  • Must interact with team members, outside agencies, and performers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Must display a positive attitude while working on multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have a keen sense of smell
  • Must possess visual acuity and be able to note visual warnings or error messages from electronic systems
  • Must be flexible in a demanding environment.
  • Must always maintain a good attitude.
  • Must be open-minded and willing to work and learn from a variety of other team members.
  • Must be able to work in an environment ranging from controlled to moderately severe.
  • Must be able to climb, stand, bend, and stoop.
  • Must be able to work in cramped areas for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
