Job Description

About the job

Delart is home to a team of world-class engineers and project leaders dedicated to developing the next generation of advanced networking technologies, consumer devices, and innovative technology solutions. Trusted by some of the world’s leading technology companies, we deliver highly scalable, mission-critical solutions that power both consumer and business applications globally. Since our founding in 2017, we have been at the forefront of designing cutting-edge networking, telecommunications, and consumer products, while driving end-to-end project execution and creating transformative technology applications.

Join our team as a Render Experience Engineer, where you will be instrumental in refining audio render systems for diverse product variants developed from a reference design. Your expertise will be crucial in operating our render tuning toolchain, ensuring optimized audio performance across all proliferation products. You will play a vital role in both objective and subjective evaluations, leveraging your technical acumen to maintain and advance high-quality render experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed acoustic measurements on speaker systems using tools like HATS, SoundCheck, and Audio Precision to assess parameters like frequency response, distortion, and power characterization.
  • Execute complex render tuning workflows, including EQ design, speaker protection, and distortion control, within company-provided toolchains.
  • Run comprehensive power simulations to verify compliance with power budgets across various operating conditions.
  • Carry out objective and subjective verification protocols, promptly reporting any deviations from defined KPI acceptance criteria within 24 hours.
  • Adjust tuning parameters based on KPI assessments and subjective evaluations to optimize audio performance.
  • Assess the acoustic impact of industrial design-driven mechanical changes on render performance, including speaker cavity and port placement.
  • Create and validate measurement data in support of structured programs with tight timelines, generating standardized performance reports for manufacturing handoff.
  • Troubleshoot render pipeline issues and escalate software-related problems to the appropriate engineering teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 3 years of experience with acoustic measurement systems such as HATS, Audio Precision, and Listen SoundCheck, including work with anechoic chambers.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python for acoustic data processing and analysis.
  • Experience in tuning render system algorithms for consumer electronics, with a focus on critical listening and subjective evaluation.
  • Solid understanding of electroacoustic principles, including speaker Thiele-Small parameters and frequency response interpretation.
  • Knowledge of DSP fundamentals, such as biquad filters and frequency domain analysis.
  • Strong lab discipline, including adherence to SOPs and thorough documentation practices.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in reporting technical findings to engineering stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI tools and agentic workflows to enhance tuning processes.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience with wearable or open-ear speaker systems.
  • Expertise in render system models or simulation-based design, including COMSOL acoustic simulations.
  • Understanding of ADB and Android audio stack nuances.
  • Insight into speaker protection algorithms and distortion control methods, such as multi-band DRC.
  • Familiarity with telecommunication audio standards and VoIP quality metrics.
  • Experience with laser displacement measurements and Klippel speaker measurement tools, ideal for advancing consumer electronics NPI cycles.
