Public Affairs plays a vital role in advancing the agency’s priorities and strengthening relationships with elected officials, government agencies, community leaders, and other key stakeholders. The team is responsible for developing and executing intergovernmental engagement strategies that promote the agency’s initiatives, facilitate coordination across government, and ensure the agency is responsive to the needs and priorities of its external partners. The Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) seeks to hire a Radio and Television Operator (Level 3) to work within the Sound unit. This unit falls under the Special Events unit. The qualified candidate will be responsible for all aspects of live sound audio support for Mayoral and City sponsored events throughout the five boroughs.

Qualification Requirements
Six months of full-time satisfactory experience as a radio operator, broadcast technician, repairperson or mechanic in the field of radio, television or two-way communications or broadcast trainee in a broadcasting station or performing closely related work.
License Requirement
A Motor Vehicle license valid in the State of New York may be required for some assignments. This license must be maintained for the duration of the assignment.
Special Note:
To be assigned to Assignment Level III the candidate must have, in addition to the requirements listed above, three years of satisfactory full-time experience as a broadcast technician (radio and/or television) which may include experience as a broadcast trainee in a broadcasting station.
