Job Overview Level Up Talent Solutions is looking for a Lean-Pro AU Senior Tax Accountant to support Australian clients with tax preparation, compliance, and accounting support. This role is ideal for candidates with strong Australian taxation experience, preferably gained from an AU accounting firm. Intermediate-level candidates may also be considered if they have solid AU tax experience and strong technical foundations. Responsibilities Prepare income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships Prepare and support Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) Review client financial data and ensure accuracy before lodgment or submission Work with AU accounting tools and practice management systems Support Australian client accounting, tax compliance, and documentation requirements Maintain organized working papers, tax records, and client files Coordinate with internal teams or client stakeholders regarding missing information, clarifications, and deadlines Ensure work is completed accurately, professionally, and within required turnaround times Requirements Experience working with Australian clients is required Experience in an Australian accounting firm is highly preferred Strong experience preparing income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships Experience preparing BAS and IAS Familiarity with Australian tax compliance and accounting workflows Experience using any of the following tools: Xero, Xero Practice Manager (XPM), MYOB, or HandiTax Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills Able to work independently and handle client accounting tasks with minimal supervision Nice to Have Experience handling senior-level AU tax work Experience supporting multiple AU clients or accounting firm portfolios Strong exposure to Xero Practice Manager, MYOB, or HandiTax
