Job Category: SalesThe Attraction Sales Intern at Moody Gardens will gain hands-on experience in the sales, promotion, and operational support of one of Texas’ premier educational and hospitality destinations. This management-focused internship provides students with direct exposure to attraction sales strategy, guest engagement, revenue generation, and daily operations within a high-volume, guest-focused environment.
Interns will work closely with Attraction Sales leadership and Guest Services teams to learn how Moody Gardens drives attendance, enhances the guest experience, and achieves revenue goals across its world-class attractions, including the Aquarium Pyramid, Rainforest Pyramid, Discovery Museum, 3D & 4D Theaters, Colonel Paddlewheel Boat, and seasonal attractions.
This internship is designed to prepare students for future leadership roles in hospitality, tourism, attractions management, and sales.

Qualifications
- Provide professional, courteous, and knowledgeable assistance to guests regarding Moody Gardens attractions, ticket options, packages, and experiences
- Assist with daily attraction sales operations, including ticketing support and point-of-sale system usage
- Learn and apply sales techniques to promote attraction packages, memberships, and upgraded guest experiences
- Support attraction attendance monitoring, guest flow management, and operational efficiency efforts
- Maintain a high level of guest service in alignment with Moody Gardens’ mission and hospitality standards
- Communicate effectively with guests, team members, and leadership in a professional manner
- Assist Attraction Sales leadership with operational tasks, reporting, and assigned projects
- Participate in leadership meetings, operational briefings, and training sessions as assigned
- Support special events, seasonal attractions, and peak operational periods
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and initiative in a hospitality leadership environment
- Follow all Moody Gardens policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Maintain confidentiality of guest, employee, and operational information
- Work collaboratively with multiple departments including Guest Services, Marketing, Events, and Attraction Operations
- Complete assigned internship projects and present information or recommendations to leadership when required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to use computers, ticketing systems, and standard office equipment
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
