Job Description

The Ecolab GBS+ Buenos Aires Attorney Specialist - Commercial Contracts position will start by assisting with the review and creation of commercial contracts for our North American business. In addition to helping to execute our commercial contracts you will also be advising and soliciting input from internal stakeholders on contract terms and conditions that may affect their respective business areas on various levels of complexity of contracts and documents to support the commercial businesses at Ecolab. Responsibilities will later expand to other business areas.

Main Responsabilities

  • Review and negotiate agreements in connection with commercial transactions

  • Offer general legal advice to Company management and functional business groups

  • Build and manage ongoing relationships with key legal stakeholders

  • Partner with key stakeholders and Global Capability Owner to understand business context and priorities

  • Mitigate major risks that threaten the delivery of work for contracts that are on customer forms or created internally

Requirements

  • Law degree and a professional license / authorization to practice law with 5+ years of commercial contracting experience

  • Strong experience in commercial law including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with end customers.

  • Proficient in drafting various types of contracts in English.

  • Specialization in Heavy Industries (Oil, Mining, Paper) is desirable

  • The ability to identify, analyze, assess and communicate legal risks to enable internal clients make quality, risk-adjusted business decisions.

  • Experience in managing and supervising a team of lawyers and/or paralegals. This includes providing guidance, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering professional development within the legal team.

  • Strong organizational skills - ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities and geographies concurrently and prioritize to meet required timelines

  • Excellent english verbal and written communications

  • Candidates will be evaluated by revising a standard agreement and providing a written and verbal summary

  • Flexibility to adapt and lead through change as business requirements evolve

  • Familiarity with multiple Ecolab Divisions preferred
