A nationally recognized litigation practice is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate with 3+ years of experience to join its intellectual property and litigation platform.
This is an opportunity for a patent litigator who wants to work on complex infringement disputes while taking meaningful responsibility rather than remaining on the sidelines.
What You’ll Do
- You’ll work across the litigation lifecycle, including:
- Representing clients in complex patent infringement disputes
- Drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and claim construction materials
- Conducting legal and technical research
- Developing strategies involving infringement, validity, enforceability, and damages
- Managing discovery, document review, and production
- Taking and participating in depositions
- Handling expert discovery and coordinating with technical experts
- Assisting with Markman hearings and IPR proceedings
- Working on dispositive motions, trial preparation, and appeals
- Collaborating directly with clients, inventors, experts, and litigation teams
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of patent litigation experience
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active California State Bar admission
- Strong patent infringement litigation experience
- Ability to independently manage cases
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Meaningful deposition and court appearance experience
- Technical fluency
- Experience with Markman hearings, IPRs, dispositive motions, or trial preparation is preferred
The Environment

- The schedule is generally 4 days in the office and 1 day remote, with some flexibility.
Compensation & Benefits
- BASE COMPENSATION RANGE - $225,000 to $265,000 with performance bonus eligibility and structured bonus thresholds at 1920 and 2100 hours.
