The Department of Business and Industry is hiring an Attorney for the Industrial Relations Division. The position can be filled in Carson City or Las Vegas.
The Legal Section provides legal review, advice, and representation to the Administrator and the various sections comprising DIR, including review of regulations, Bill Draft Requests, representing the agency in Administrative Hearings, and other issues that require an interpretation and/or analysis of present or proposed law.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and professional attorney with strong legal research, writing, analytical, time management, and communication skills. They are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing multiple priorities while providing sound legal advice and representation in support of the Division's mission.
They will exercise sound judgment, demonstrate integrity and professionalism, and approach challenges with a practical, solution oriented mindset. They work effectively with agency leadership, staff, stakeholders, and opposing counsel and contribute positively to a collaborative workplace through accountability, teamwork, and mutual respect.
