Job Description

A well-established litigation firm is seeking an attorney with at least one year of litigation experience to support insurance defense and general liability matters. This contract opportunity offers strong mentorship, meaningful hands-on experience, and the potential to transition into a full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and related legal documents
• Conduct legal research and case analysis
• Assist with discovery management and responses
• Participate in depositions and trial preparation
• Support litigation strategy and case planning
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Maintain case files and litigation deadlines

Candidate Qualifications

• 1+ years of litigation experience required
• Insurance defense or general liability experience preferred
• Strong legal research and drafting skills
• Experience with discovery and motion practice preferred
• Deposition experience preferred
• Trial exposure is a plus
• Ability to work independently following onboarding
• Writing sample strongly encouraged

Compensation

• $80 to $85/hour, depending on experience
• Full-time hours available
• Contract opportunity
• Potential opportunity to convert to full-time employment
