Senior Family Law Attorney / Trial Attorney | San Diego, California
$190,000–$240,000+ Base Salary + Significant Productivity Bonus
An opportunity is available for an accomplished Senior Family Law Attorney with significant litigation and trial experience. This position is designed for an attorney capable of independently managing sophisticated family law matters from initial consultation through settlement or trial.
The Opportunity
- The position carries an annual billable expectation of approximately 1,500 hours, or an average of 125 billable hours per month. Performance is evaluated on more than hours, including quality of work, client relationships, judgment, efficiency, collections, courtroom performance, professionalism, teamwork, leadership, and results.
- The attorney will assume primary responsibility for complicated family law litigation, including contested evidentiary hearings and trials, depositions, discovery, settlement negotiations, witness and expert preparation, and sophisticated family law issues.
Qualifications
- Candidates should be active members in good standing of the State Bar of California. Approximately 8–15+ years of substantial California family law experience is preferred, along with significant first-chair trial and contested evidentiary hearing experience.
- Exceptional client relationship skills, communication, legal writing, professional judgment, and the ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation are essential. CFLS certification is valued but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary is $190,000–$240,000+, depending on experience and demonstrated ability. Additional compensation is available for exceptional productivity and qualifying originated business.
