Job Description

Some law firms handle disputes. This one builds legacies.

Representing some of the country’s largest commercial and infrastructure contractors, this elite construction litigation practice is where seasoned litigators go to make an impact. From airport terminals and high-speed rail systems to iconic skyscrapers, your work will help shape the future of American development.

A national construction and labor litigation powerhouse is hiring a Construction Litigation Attorney to join its thriving California-based practice. This role is ideal for a mid-to-senior level litigator who thrives in high-stakes environments and enjoys working directly with sophisticated contractor clients.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll take the lead on smaller cases and collaborate with top-tier trial teams on complex disputes involving:

  • Mechanics liens, stop notices, and surety bond claims
  • Payment and performance disputes
  • Delay, disruption, and false claims
  • Multi-party construction litigation in California courts, arbitration, and select federal forums
  • Strategic case development with industry-leading clients

What Makes This Role Exceptional

  • Hands-on litigation experience with second or third-chair trial opportunities
  • Consistent, nationwide work from major contractor clients
  • High-caliber team with autonomy and support — not a litigation mill
  • Reasonable billable target (1,800 hours, flexible to 1,600)
  • Hybrid work setup with a collaborative, modern office

Qualifications We’re Seeking

  • Licensed in California (good standing)
  • 5–10 years’ construction litigation experience on the contractor side
  • Strong legal research and motion practice background
  • Experience with lien, delay, and surety matters
  • Comfortable with heavy motion work and client strategy

Compensation and Perks

  • Base salary: $150,000 – $250,000 DOE
  • Bonuses: Discretionary, ranging from $5,000 to $50,000

Benefits:

  • 100% employer-paid health, dental, vision, and long-term disability
  • Vanguard 401(k) with profit sharing
  • Covered bar dues, MCLE, licenses, and parking

Location and Schedule

Hybrid role with a strong preference for Los Angeles–area candidates. Weekly office presence is encouraged, but flexible arrangements are supported.

Why Work Here?

This is a rare opportunity to join a deeply connected, nationally respected construction law firm without sacrificing quality of life. The firm values autonomy, direct communication, and doing excellent work — not burning out attorneys with excessive demands.

Apply now to start your next chapter in the heart of American infrastructure.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $250,000
