Job Description

Responsible for facilitating Entertainment performances for animated character meet-n-greets at Universal Kids Resort. Promotes positive Guest experiences through one-on-one interactions with Guests and by assisting Performers to navigate their surroundings and maintain safety procedures.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitates entertainment performances by providing positive Guest service, welcoming and engaging Guests and sharing accurate information according to Entertainment departmental guidelines and expectations. Supports scheduled meet-n-greets through assisting with designated queues, Guest’s cameras and photos, autograph books, show panels, setting show area with or without the use of barricades, and other Guest or Entertainment Management needs.
  • Responsible for the safety and physical well-being of Performers while on set. Ensures Guest and Performer safety by maintaining a clear show area for the duration of travel and performance. Responsible for safely escorting performance vehicles to, on and from set, while monitoring Guest safety.
  • Assists and accompanies Entertainment Performers to, on and from assigned sets, and providing time calls by use of hand signals or verbal communication. Supports Animated Characters with dressing/undressing in/out of character costumes including zippers, snaps, shoes, and head pieces.
  • Responsible for assisting in operational/administrative duties which may include; daily set up and strike of stanchions, queues, and signage, proper use and refueling of company vehicles, completion of daily paperwork, and consistent communication with leads or management regarding any relevant information relating to the operation.
  • Expected to occasionally participate in Entertainment performances as directed by Entertainment Management.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Individual Contributor.

  • Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule based on business needs.

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ year of theme park or guest service experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
