What Does a Donation Center Attendant Do Anyway?

• Welcome donors with a smile and provide exceptional customer service at our drive-thru Donation Center.
• Assist donors with unloading clothing, shoes, household goods, and other donated items from their vehicles.
• Receive, inspect, sort, and organize donations to prepare them for processing, recycling, or distribution.
• Safely load and unload donations from vehicles, carts, containers, and box trucks.
• Move and organize donated merchandise using carts, bins, and other equipment.
• Work alongside truck drivers, supervisors, and team members to keep donations moving efficiently.
• Keep the Donation Center clean, safe, organized, and welcoming for everyone.
• Follow safety guidelines and company procedures when handling donated merchandise.
• Work indoors and outdoors while staying active throughout your shift.
• Share information about our charity partners and how donations make a difference in our communities.
• Help turn everyday donations into meaningful opportunities to give back!

Our Donation Center team works together to make every donation count! From greeting donors at our drive-thru to unloading, sorting, and preparing donated goods, every team member plays an important role in supporting our charity partners and keeping reusable items out of landfills. As a Donation Center Attendant, you'll be one of the friendly faces representing America's Thrift! You'll help create a welcoming experience for our donors while working alongside an incredible team to keep donations moving safely and efficiently.

The Fixed Donation Center operates Monday–Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Shifts are scheduled within these hours and may include weekends.
