Job Introduction

In order to achieve the best results in Air Traffic Management (ATM) communication and ensure the safety of passengers, a solution is required that is designed to meet the challenges of a modern air traffic management network Frequentis offers innovative solutions to ensure the highest level of security while increasing capacity and improving cost efficiency.
Key Tasks

• On-site installation, integration, and system upgrades at customer locations (airports, ATM centers)
• Active participation in system design phases, including architecture discussions and technical reviews
• Involvement in Design reviews, functional acceptance tests, and Site acceptance tests activities with customers
• Direct customer interaction during commissioning, acceptance, and operational phases
• Close cooperation with Customer Service and Support teams during in-house and on-site activities
• Comfortable working both on-site with customers and in the office, balancing technical work with communication and coordination
• Willingness to travel to customer sites for installations, upgrades, and acceptance activities (typically planned, not ad-hoc)

• Nice to have:
• Experience with ATM Voice Communication Systems or safety-critical environments
• Knowledge of VoIP and SIP protocols
• Experience with analogue and digital voice interfaces
• Basic understanding of telecom signaling and voice networking
• Prior exposure to customer-facing system engineering roles

Key Qualifications

• Initial relevant professional experience as a systems engineer or systems administrator, ideally approx. 3 years.
• Technical background in IT (OS, networks), whether through training, studies or a career change.
• Experience with networks (Layer 2 + Layer 3) and ideally knowledge of protocols (UDP, TCP, multicast).
• Practical experience with Linux, knowledge of telecommunications interfaces and protocols are an advantage.
• You enjoy working with customers and are willing to travel internationally approximately 60% of the time.
• Very good English skills are a must due to our international customer relations; any additional foreign languages are an advantage (especially Portuguese or Spanish).

Annual Gross Salary from

This salary is the minimum salary according to the collective agreement based on a 38.5 hour week. Your actual annual gross salary results from the overpayment in line with the market depending on your professional experience and qualifications and is part of our attractive overall package.
